Innergreen, provider of our holiday lights on Geier Esplanade/Oakley station, have provided a Holiday Lighting Upgrade Proposal, to upgrade from what had in previous years.

Background:

• In the past, we had a vendor who hung lights higher up in the gingko trees, which made a for striking presentation as you entered the square area. Unfortunately, that vendor damaged the trees when they installed/removed the lights and were no longer an option.
• 2 years ago, we engaged with Innergreen, who has worked well with the Parks staff, to install lighting around the fencing on around the square, which was within our existing budget at the time.
• Last year, in response to resident feedback (new display not as visible, "disappointing"), board member Dan Krohn was able to get additional business sponsors to add more lights on the evergreen trees and a large Christmas tree to be added.
• Thanks to Dewey's, Skyline, Neyer Properties, MadTree, and Torque Motors to stepping up and being sponsors!
• This year, we asked Innergreen what options were available to add lighting higher in the trees, and that proposal is what we'll be discussing at the September meeting.
• We have sufficient sponsorships to cover the cost increase over previous years for this year. Challenge is if can also cover the costs for next year (it's a two year contract).
